Start a local ministry

Are you looking to set up a new ministry that engages with young people in your local area, with a focus on sharing the gospel? Youth for Christ can help you through the process of establishing and building this ministry; by offering support, advice, resources and access to a network of other YFC ministries across the nation who are available for encouragement and sharing expertise.

A YFC Local Ministry is where churches work together to set up an initiative which seeks to engage with young people. A YFC Centre is a local, independent charity, which usually employs one or more people whilst a YFC Project is a volunteer led initiative. Both Centres and Projects are chartered to YFC, through a covenant agreement.

There are 3 key elements to all our local ministries:

  • Churches working together with a common vision
  • Opportunities for young people to hear and respond to the gospel
  • Commitment to being part of the YFC family

The process of becoming a YFC Local Ministry is supported by our team of staff who will advise and encourage you as your ministry develops. This could include advising on registering as a charity, helping with strategy and vision setting, training on financial matters, as well as general encouragement and prayer support. If you’re interested in starting a new evangelistic ministry in partnership with other churches, we would love to hear from you. Please fill in the form below and we will be in touch.
