As the name of the weekend suggests, Youth for Christ really really does love youth and children’s workers! The second ever ‘We love Youth Workers’ weekend (17th-19th March) went brilliantly and it was a highlight for all YFC staff present to be able to bless and equip a bunch of awesome Jesus-hearted people.
On March 17th, 180 people gathered at The Pioneer Centre in Kidderminster to enjoy a weekend packed with teaching, seminars, outdoor activities and a massive saturday night carnival – complete with candy floss stall, traditional carnival games and epic live music!
Some of YFC’s best speakers shared their expertise in youth and children’s work at the event, including Neil O Boyle. As the YFC family we were also especially thrilled to be joined by friends such as Joel Goodlet from Urban Devotion Birmingham, Phil Timson from Hope and Pete Hopper from Open Doors.
Investing in lives
It was a real honour to be able to invest in the lives of our friends out on the mission field with such a high-calibre of teaching, wide range of activities and space for fellowship, all at no cost!!
Here’s a few of our favourite comments from attendees…
“Awesome refreshment. Thank you for valuing us, lavishing us, spoiling us and teaching us.”
“All I expected was a nice rest but I got so much more in return! I now have so many questions to ask myself and the team about our ministry. This is only the beginning of a new beginning!”
“Excellent and relevant – and that’s from a children’s worker! What a great atmosphere – I could not believe how much fun I had. Thank you so much for a fantastic weekend.”
Here’s to the next one……
